The rogue king laughed in his mind. It was almost too easy. Brighton wasn't really that bright, he thought. The minute he heard the plan to sacrifice a child for power, he jumped at the offer of more power.

He shook his head at him. It was funny already that Brighton expected the power to be shared. The king wanted to laugh again.

The power was solely for him. He wasn't going to share with anyone. He planned to be the most powerful creature, and he didn't plan to rule with any of the people he had with him.

He was going to end Brighton and his stupid daughter when he wins the war, and he planned to use that witch until she couldn't be used anymore.
