Chapter 38_ Cia's Dilemma

"How are you feeling now?" Manuel asked Vanessa curiously as they ate breakfast together the next morning.

He couldn't stop looking at the bandage on her neck, and it triggered his anger the more he looked at it.

He wanted to make Marina pay for it, he swore to give her similar scars once he laid his hands on her.

Manuel couldn't imagine how much pain Vanessa must be feeling at the moment.

Including her face which had a slight cut on it, he couldn't forgive Marina for it.

"I feel much better now." Vanessa answered him briefly then she resumed munching on her food. She is still trying to get rid of the thoughts of Mara dying yesterday because of Marina and her.

Vanessa felt like she needed to take a break from everything, including acting for a while but she couldn't.

It was hard for her to do so.

She continued to eat while Manuel excused himself to do something.

Soon, Vanessa's mobile phone rang and she picked up the call from her best friend, Cia.
