“I’m not aware of this, Your Majesty. It must have escaped the maid's mind, ” he answered, bowing his head as he looked at his feet.

“It escapes their minds to bring food for the miraculous healer? Do they even have a brain?” This time, it was Selene that snapped at him. She was undoubtedly angry and her tiny voice was as chilly as her brother’s.

“What did you think your punishment should be?” The Vampire King interrupted, totally unimpressed by the Head of Staff’s prevaricate and pretentious acts.
