There should be a dramatic song playing in the background. There should. Well, at least that’s what I imagined when I read the scene when Minerva met Carter.

But no. There’s nothing. Only the sound of the wind, I guess? And some mumbling of the people inside the carriage that we rode which didn’t leave yet.

I bet I probably looked way stupid now. With my jaw hung loose above my chest, my eyes were fixed on the figure of Carter; both malnourished and hurt.

Wasn’t Minerva supposed to save him? Where is she?

“I appreciate that astounded look of yours, but don’t you think we should do something with him first? Healing him or something?” Clairmont’s nonchalant tone managed to break me out of my stupor.

“You’re…” I fluttered my eyes for a moment, trying to pick the sanity that left me a few minutes ago. “You’re right. But I don’t know how to heal-&rdquo
