Kai's POV

“Where is she? Where is that wretched woman?” I muttered, my voice straining with frustration. Nadia was gone, and no one seemed to know where she was.

I felt a surge of irritation, a dark cloud that obscured my mind and heightened my disdain for her. Nadia had disappeared, and the guards who searched the entire territory found no trace of her.

It seemed like she had disappeared into thin air, leaving no trail behind. Her scent had been masked, making it hard for the guards to trace her. This was a situation that I was certain Nadia wasn’t capable of handling on her own.

The nagging doubt that someone might be helping her hide only served to fuel my anger further. The thought of her still roaming freely filled me with rage.
