Kai’s POV

I felt my heart hammering in my chest, each beat echoing the shock of Adam's revelation. He was Nadia's mate.

I stared at him, searching for a flicker of deceit or remorse in his eyes. I was looking for any sign that could indicate he was lying to me. However, all I encountered was a raw honesty that churned my stomach.

Adam looked at me with a mix of pain and regret, as if he still cared for me after all he had done. How could he do this to me? How could he keep such a secret from me for so long when we had practically done everything together?

Adam had been my loyal companion, my right-hand man, and my brother in all but blood. He had been without a mate for as long as I had known him, and I had often wondered if fate had been cruel to him. It’s even surprising that he never considered choosing anyone for himself.

But now, I realize that he had been waiting for Nadia, the devil who had broken my heart and ruined my life the moment she decided to become my Luna.

Kai, I blame this one on you. You could if had a DNA test done, and your question would have been answered 18 years earlier. So yes, while Adam should have told you, you shoulder the blame as well.

Agree Lilys. It was his fault he wasn’t with his kids or Alana. He could’ve have rejected Nadia and brought them back to his pack. Alana gave him an ultimatum but he couldn’t do it for some stupid reason

Alana and Kai have both been pining away and haven’t shown interest in anyone else so I hope they get a happy ending for Alana’s sake. Was still hoping this was an awful dream or spell and they could go back and change this sh$t. Still think Kai needs to get over Willow. Maybe he was under a spell
