KAI’S POV

“Nadia, you can’t run from me!” I shouted. I followed her scent, faint but unmistakable, along the path leading away from Adam’s quarters. “I know what you did! You’re a traitor, a liar, and a fucking witch!”

With every step, I felt a surge of disbelief and betrayal. How could I have been so fucking blind and naive as to trust Nadia? How could I have allowed her to manipulate me for so long without smelling her deceit?

My life had been nothing more than a sham, a play in which I was the only one unaware of the script. Everyone else harbored their secrets, their lies, and their hidden agendas. I was the fool who fell for them all.

For years, I raised my beta’s child, believing she was mine. I loved her, cared for her, and protected her above all else. Meanwhile, my children were cast aside, even forgotten.

For sixteen long years, they grew up without my love and care, without my attention and guidance. And for what? I was foolish enough to believe I was content with the one w
