KAI’S POV

“Nadia, you can’t run from me!” I shouted. I followed her scent, faint but unmistakable, along the path leading away from Adam’s quarters. “I know what you did! You’re a traitor, a liar, and a fucking witch!”

With every step, I felt a surge of disbelief and betrayal. How could I have been so fucking blind and naive as to trust Nadia? How could I have allowed her to manipulate me for so long without smelling her deceit?

My life had been nothing more than a sham, a play in which I was the only one unaware of the script. Everyone else harbored their secrets, their lies, and their hidden agendas. I was the fool who fell for them all.
