CAMERON’S POV

Without warning, Klaus’s rogue wolves launched a vicious attack at us—a storm of fur and fangs. As our father chased after Klaus, we were left to face the onslaught of his men, leaving us outnumbered and outmatched. Adam, our father’s loyal Beta, stood his ground. His movements were a blur of speed and strength as he fought beside us, defending us from the enemy.

The air was thick with dread, a suffocating fog that made every breath a struggle. Chase and I locked eyes, silently communicating our shared burden. We both knew that Klaus had lied to our father earlier. He had not killed our mother, Cassie, nor Willow, as he had claimed. We could still feel her warm presence through the mate bond, a living pulse that connected us to her.
