Kai's POV

Alana said yes! I couldn’t believe it, but she fucking said yes to my proposal. For a fleeting moment back there, I thought she was going to refuse me.

I saw the doubt and hesitation in her eyes, making my heart squeeze with disappointment, but all of that was long forgotten with a single yes.

With all the tension and anxiety going on in my life, her answers were like a breath of fresh air as I hurried back to the pack house to meet Mother. She was in her usual spot in the garden, knitting a red winter shawl.

The nights were getting colder, and it wouldn’t be long before the pack grounds were covered in snow dust.

“Mother,” I said as I settled on the empty seat beside her.

“Son, you’re looking exceptionally happy today. What’s the good news?" She asked curiously, her eyes narrowing at me.

I chuckled, unable to hide my excitement.

Why doesn't she just tell him about his triplets?! He would do everything to get them back and live their life together. Really irritates me she's dragging this out. There's no way she can kill him so I see Alex being the one she kills in order to save Kai.
