I Love Only Avyannna

****Bryce's POV ****

I had a lot of work to attend to at the office as usual, but then the thought of one person made it easier for me to start and finish my day happily, and there was no one else but Avy. She was like the light that brightens my day. Meeting her was the best thing that happened to me.

Some days, I can't help but think of her and imagine having her for my wife. I know my mom will be shocked, but I'm going to be as patient as I can. When the right time comes, I will not hesitate to make her mine.

I was so lost in thought, thinking about Avyannna when I heard a knock on my door.

“Yes?” I uttered, and then, the door to my office gradually flew open, and my secretary walked in abruptly.

“Sir, there's someone who wants to see you,” she said.

“Who?” I asked with a creased brow.

“She wouldn't tell me her name, but she said it's urgent to see you. I've tried walking her out but, I'm afraid, she's quite stubborn. I wanted to use the security on her, but then I only want to do that with your permission.”

I shut my eyes for a moment. Who could that be trying to disturb the peace of my company so early? I opened my eyes slowly, and lazily said, “do what you must, then.” But then, I thought about whom it might actually be.

“Wait, you know what Angela, let her I'm I need to see for myself who this person is.”

“But Boss, what if she's -”

“You don't have to worry about me. Trust me, I can handle it.” I said, cutting her off.

“Okay, boss,” with that, my secretary left the door.

In more than a minute, I heard a light knock on my door. At the sound of the knock, I could tell that it wasn't my secretary.

“Come in,” I uttered.

The door slowly flew open, and someone walked in. With the heels making sounds on the tiled floor, I confirmed that it was actually a woman.

Slowly, I raised my head up, and to my utmost surprise, it was none other than an old friend I hadn't seen in a while.

“Louisiana, what are you doing here?”

“Hello, Bryce, I've missed you,” she said with a smile, putting me on the edge.

“When did you get back?” I asked with curiosity.

“Well, I came back a week ago. You have no idea the stress it took me to find out where you actually work,” she said, walking towards my desk slowly.

“And how did you find out?”

Louisiana took a quick glance in my direction.

“Jeez! Relax, Bryce, it's not like I came to woo you or something.”

“I didn't mean that. Just wanted to know how you found my company.”

“Well, I met a friend of yours, who is also mine. I asked about you, and he gave me your company card,” she said as she took out the company's complimentary card and waved it at me with a smile on.

I heaved a long, deep sigh. This is so not what I want right now.

“Why do you look this way? Aren't you happy to see me?”

I raised my head up to gaze at her.

“Louisiana, I see no reason why you should come to my company. We have nothing to talk about.”

“I'm not saying we have things to talk about, I just missed you and wanted to see you. I mean no harm.”

There, that is the problem! He wanted to avoid seeing her at all.

“Well, I'm glad you are okay, but I need you to excuse me as I'm pressed with things to do.”

“Oh, I see. That's no bother then, I'll let you do your thing, but I want you to promise me that we will have some time to ourselves. I was t us to catch up on things, Bryce.”

“What things? We don't have anything to catch up on, Louisiana. We ended things three years ago.”

She instantly sat on my desk and leaned in.

“I know you will say this, but Bryce, I've never stopped thinking about you, even for once. You have no idea just how much I've missed you.”

Louisiana suddenly placed her hands on my hand and began to draw traces on my skin. Immediately, I yanked away from her.

“Louisiana, I'm not going to entertain your silliness this time. Please leave my office.”

“Bryce, come on. You know just how much I've missed you. It's been three fucking years. Isn't that enough time for old friends like you and me to catch up?”

“Catch up and then what?”

“You'll never know unless you try,” she said, trying to place her hand on me again.” Knowing she wouldn't stop the madness she was trying to pull, I immediately stood up from my chair and walked to the door.

“For the sake of the respect I have got you as a woman, I'd advise you to take your leave quietly. I bet you don't want me to call in security on you. It would be very embarrassing.”

Louisiana stared at me as a gasp escaped her lips. She shook her head and slowly stood up from the desk.

“Bryce, I never would have ever thought that you'd treat me this way. We were both young, and you know done things are bound to happen. Why can't you just forget about the past and forgive me?”

“Now you are mistaken, Louisiana. I have forgiven you ever since the incident happened.”

“If you truly forgive me, then why are you treating me this way?”

“What are you talking about now? Louisiana, please leave,” I quickly opened the door wide, so she could leave. After staring at me for some seconds, she slowly descended from the table and walked over to the door. She paused and took her gaze towards me.

“I don't believe that you don't have feelings for me anymore, Bryce, I'll come back for you. I'll prove to you that I still care and that we can rekindle our love,” with that, she walked out of the office.

The moment she left, I heaved a long, deep sigh. Louisiana and I only dated for a year. Nothing serious, until that faithful night. I ended things with her immediately, but now she's talking about love?

There was no love from the start. I've only truly loved Avyannna, and nothing can change that.
