CHAPTER 22: SECRETS REVEALED

Killian drives over to Kate's house like the hounds of hell are after him.

I rest my hands on his leg and tell him. "Killian you need to slow down, we'll be no good to Adriana if we end up dead."

He takes a deep breath and eases his leg away from the accelerator. We are still speeding but at least there's a lower chance of us getting into an accident.

"I know you're right, I'm sorry. I'm just so damn worried, what the hell could've happened."

"I don't know but the last time I saw her when she was in my office, I suspected something was off I should've asked her about it."

"No you don't get to blame yourself, this is all my fault I'm her brother I'm supposed to protect her. But I've been so mad at her that I didn't even notice it."

We finally reach Kate's house and we get down from the car. Lachlan comes out from the house and walks us to the backyard.

"It's really bad man, she's shifted and won't shift back, her eyes are blo
