Chapter forty one

I swallowed as I stared at him, and before I could even say anything, Layla got up limping as she rushed to him. Before I could even do anything, she embraced him, and like the drama queen that she was, she started to cry. "Leo, she hates me; I told you she did." She said that, and I stared at her, shocked.

Alpha Leonardo turned to me, and I shook my head, trying to speak when she interrupted. She stopped hugging him as she stared at him, and before I knew it, she raised her hand as she showed it to him, and this time, all of a sudden, she had a bruise, and my eyes widened in shock.

"She did this to me, Leo. Cora did." She said, and I stared at her. This woman never ceases to amaze me. "Just because of what happened at the hall, and because of how I had exposed her, she hurt me." She told him, and I stared at alpha Leonardo whose eyes had never left me since she started pointing those accusing fingers at me.
