Chapter 61

Ruby's POV

 I found myself in a special room. The spacious bathroom was welcoming, and I decided to freshen up. The warm water helped wash away the weariness from the journey and the emotional whirlwind that had gripped me.

As I bathed, my mind wandered back to my early childhood. Even though I was only around two years old during those times, my memory was surprisingly vivid. I could recall moments when my father laughed and talked to me, making me feel loved and cherished.

In my memory, I was a toddler, and my father sat with me on the floor of our home. He played with me, making funny faces to elicit giggles, and gently ruffled my hair. "You are my little star, Ruby," he would say, his voice filled with warmth and love. "I won't trade you for anything."

I felt a pang of nostalgia as the memories flooded back. The genuine happiness I had felt in those moments with my father made my heart ache
