I SPENT MOST of the day in the lab, I wanted to get this over and done as quickly as possible. I had not known what to expect when I was planning on coming back here, but it was not a bitter sister and an ex-husband who still wanted to fuck me. He literally undressed me with his eyes anytime he saw me.

Not to talk of the imminent threats that he had posed to my children.

I didn't know how the time flew by until my neck started aching. I stretched and pushed aside the blinds to glance outside. I was shocked to see how dark everywhere had become.

I cracked my neck and stepped out of the lab, making sure to lock it and secure the keycard in my bag. It had taken us most of the morning to gather the pack members to take another sample of their blood, and more hours for grouping. Now, I was in the process of introducing the virus to some samples and seeing the reaction. Luckily, these steps didn't take as much as they normally would, because I had done it before.
