Time stopped for a fraction of a second.

They say life can change at any second, and it is true. One second you're fine, and the next you could be lying on the street, holding your belly for fear of losing your children. But no one talks about how eternal that second can be. No one talks about how time stops and seems to have no intention of moving forward. Little is said about the fear that runs through your veins as you witness a death threat approaching you. No one mentions the number of catastrophic thoughts that pass through your mind. Not even the strength with which you pray that nothing bad happens to you.

Before, I wouldn’t have worried about a crash. I wouldn’t have enjoyed it, but I wouldn’t fear losing my life in an accident, because I knew I wouldn’t lose it. Werewolves are resilient. But I am no longer one. I think I stopped being a werewolf a long time ago.
