Chapter 13: Promotion
Nicholas refused to let me go, he was so stubborn. We didn't leave the restaurant until he was finally done with his fries, and by then Lena had already sent me a voice message telling me I am fucked. Which obviously meant she would deal with me.
When we returned back to our head office, Nicholas and I took separate elevators. He headed to his floor and I headed to our floor. He had told me not to worry about Lena.
Like seriously? Why wouldn't I be worried? She might not have the power to fire me but she could definitely make sure I don't enjoy working under her. Trust me, Lena could be so mean at times.
