Should I reveal the truth to her?

Benedict’s pov

I was in the middle of doing laundry when I heard my wife's voice, Chloe, calling out to get my attention.

"Darling! Darling!"

She was in the kitchen, probably unaware that I was busy with the laundry and assuming I was in our room.

"My hands are busy in the kitchen. Please, someone is knocking on the door."

"Okay, but my hands are wet," I replied, not realizing she hadn't heard my response. If I had known, I would have quickly gone to see who was at the door without any delay.

As I refocused my attention on the washing machine, her voice lingered in my mind, bringing a smile to my face. We had a wonderful marriage and two lovely children.

My intention was to finish loading the remaining dirty clothes into the washing machine and then go and meet her, as well as find out who was at the door.
