Something’s off

Three hours later, Shawn still sat in his study. He had no idea why Sage wanted to see him but he knew it would be up to no good.

Sage really had nothing more than trouble to offer.

He glanced at the clock – it was slowly waltzing toward midnight. Serenity would be sleeping by now. It was funny how they lived a totally different life. She was a virtuous woman while he was the opposite of that.

He picked up his phone. Sunny – he needed to call him. His fingers tightened around the phone as indecision chewed at him. He could feel his anxiety growing.

In this stance, he could only think of Serenity. Her faint smiles, touch, and — moans.

Argh, what the hell was going on with him?!

With a sigh, he sank back in his chair, the leader groaning under his weight. He finally pressed the call button after Which Sunny’s voice came from the other end.
