“Where the hell are you?” I snapped angrily into the phone that was on loudspeaker on my end.

The phone was settled on the black phone stand while I sipped whiskey, and paced around my office enraged.

What used to be whiskey glasses were now a mess of shards on the floor.

“Where else would I be?” Came her bored-sounding response.

“Fuck you, Lucy!” I practically screamed.

“Hey, you might be an Alpha but I deserve respect too.” Her tone held defiance.

My chuckle was bitter and short. I wish she was here, I would squeeze life out of her. The bitch!

“You don’t deserve any respect. The audacity to ask for respect you haven’t earned.”

“I haven’t earned?” She wasn’t too pleased.

Good. At least, we were on the same page on emotions.

“Yes. You call yourself an assassin yet you ran away from the fight tonight!”

The more I thought of it, the angrier I got. She had her chance but she let it slide between her fingers.

There was no response from the other end, I almost thought she had
