“Can I see her?”

We were back to the living room, after another round of passionate sex ,it was late into the night and surprisingly, none if us had talked about him leaving.

I was still in shock that I didn’t want him to go just yet. That was surprising for someone who loved and enjoyed her privacy.

Our cans of half drunk beer were now warm. I had to discard them to bring new, chilled ones from the fridge. The chips were still crunchy though, so we ate that.

“Who?” He turned his face away from the TV to cast me a look.

“Zara.” I said softly.

He nodded. He took his phone and scrolled through his gallery. Then he put the phone in my face.

“That’s her.”

“Oh. She’s beautiful.” I could not help commenting. The face looking back at me was lovely and innocent.

“And the sweetest person I’d ever known.” He added.

I looked at him. “Yes, she was.” I fought against jealousy.

“She’s definitely the kind of girl men would go for, you know.”
