Chapter 44 - Childhood memories

Theo POV

“Clear”, I whisper, but I know they can hear me through the communication system we have with each other. I can feel something is off here, and I just can’t put my finger on it to figure out what it is. I get out of the room I am in and walk down the corridor opening another door slowly and quietly and checking to be clear as well.

“Clear”, I say again.

“Clear”, I hear Elliot say. I close my eyes for a second. I know this house. I am up in this house, but it was sold many years ago. I look around at the room that used to be mine. Now it is empty and with the wallpaper already falling off. I run my fingers through the wall and close my eyes.
