“Race has got nothing to do with this considering that there are scientists and innovators of different color and not just white!” Marcus was arguing out, leading the heated conversation in which his sister and Henry were a a part of.
“Oh really?” came Carmen, "then I dare you to name at least five major scientists who are black!"
"Well," her brother pondered on, "let's see. There's Neal deGrasse Tyson and..."
Carmen widened her emerald eyes at him, expressing she was winning the case.
“So what ?” Marcus added, shaking his head, “just because there's fewer colored people in the field of tech advanceme

A B L A C K D O D G E SRT’s roaring engine gradually died down as the vehicle pulled up from the freeway and into the drive-in that led to a gate where a sentinel suddenly got up from his post and rushed to receive the car. “Where are you headed, ma'am?” asked the sentinel who was tall but not that tall, mostly average height. The driver’s tinted window slid down and Susan Claire’s face came into view. She arched one end of her lips to give a smiling expression while noticing that the sentinel had across his chest just below his left shoulder which revealed his name as 'Julio'. Mexican? Susan was not sure as the sentinel had zero accent, overlooking that he had just addressed her as 'ma’am'. Even her own grandmother despised that word in her eighties! Her soul re
T O W A R D S T H E E V E N I N G, just a few blocks away from Natasha’s place, Lucas appeared at the entrance of his uncle Mac’s tech store of the same name. “Well,” started his uncle, “look who decided to show up.” “Late football practice,” was Lucas’s response as he set down his school bag next to a shelf packed with Life Cell batteries. “Naah! Don't mind me,” added his uncle, waving a hand in his direction, “heard you got a scholarship!” Lucas gave him a nod and noticed that he was putting on a jacket before grabbing the keys to his truck. “Closing already?” Uncle Mac grinned and Lucas went on to discover that even the hair on his balding head had been combed. “Yeah, you can hang around and close up before eight,” his uncle responded and a little bit evasive but Lucas knew where he was going.

Where would this even be?” “I’m now beginning to see how lame this is actually,” Cassie spat. Natasha was in the middle of laughter when she spotted the
T H E L A S T W E E K of March found Carmen walking into an investigation room with soon-to-be detective Brian Pierce, making that her seventh session at the precinct. She stood next to him and they were looking at a woman seated in the opposite side of the room, through a window. Carmen noticed how her hands had been cuffed over the table and she had hair that was so dark it was probably dyed from its original vague blond or light brunette. She also had dark eyeliner and a tiny ring popping out from her nostrils, dangling slightly above her lips that looked as if they had been smothered in purple ink, giving her a total Gothic look. All of this was an analysis by Carmen; observation being her favorite part of what she had been learning at the precinct as an intern. "So," Carmen began, "what exactly are we looking at?" "Prudence."

I N A N U N D I S C L O S E D location, it was dark out, making it all the while harder to clearly define whose house it was but it must have been in the heart of the city. There was a street lamp about a foot away from the house, the little amber light it cast revealing that the house was of two floors, with a dark window on the upper floor. The lamp began to flicker just as a light gale swept a litter of dried leaves across the porch of the house, with some even brushing against the window. With a crackle, the light from the lamp dwindled out, enveloping the area around the house in total darkness, leading up through the window into an even darker room where soft noises of someone breathing could be heard as if they were asleep. One of the window's panes suddenly flung open

Little did she know however, that all that was about to change—in the present. . . ⚡⚡⚡ Miss Hortense was just taking out the last batch of cups that had been scattered all over the manor.
