Leonard has already calmed down after Deadrei cast a spell. It was just temporary, that is why Deadrei told Rio that Leonard must be ready to accept that he is not the same person as he was anymore.
After that night, Leonard woke up and remembered what happened.
“So, this is my fate, why is life so unfair to me?” He mumbled to himself.
He took a cigarette and lit it outside the balcony. He puffs up the smoke as he meditates.
“Man, what am I going to do with my life now? How can I face Mathilda?” He thought to himself.

The rainfall was heavy and Leonard knew that it will not stop any time soon. He and Mathilda are stuck in this old cabin by the lake. He lit some firewood in the fireplace to give some warmth to the freezing Mathilda. He has a warm body but he thinks that if she wakes up and sees him beside her, she might freak out. She still does not want to get any closer to him because she was shocked by what she has seen back there in Amberwood.Leonard wrapped her with that thick blanket that he has found under the bed, but Mathilda seems to be having a high fever and starts shivering.
