Chapter 56: Future

Peaceful Sunday morning.

Dylan wanted to get up and find something to do, but Bernie didn't want to. He just insisted on holding Dylan on the bed. Dylan thought maybe the new project had tortured them too much lately, especially Bernie; it was complicated to have a free weekend, so let's just follow his wishes.

Dylan won't say it's because he's tired of being "tortured" by him...

Dylan laid his head on Bernie's large, sturdy chest, talking to him in a no-no way about the newly completed project, about his family, about their future.

The more Dylan talked, the more sleepy he became. Finally, he didn't know when he fell asleep again.

Dylan slept very well, like an angel on Mount Olympus buried in a soft, warm blanket.

When Bernie watched him sleep, his heart was very calm, very content.

It would be nice if life stopped at this moment. Then Dylan would forever be in his arms, forever peaceful and warm like this.
