AUTHOR'S POV:

Ava had no idea what happened to her during the minutes she passed out but when she woke up, she couldn't see Damien or anyone by her side.

She gasped and jolted up in a frenzy.

Did the meeting with Alpha King Leo go on without her?

Ava raised her hands to touch her face, her entire body now panicky.

This was the reason she risked her life, the reason she took those bloody painkillers she had gotten from the human side. It was just to end the meeting and now it was going on without her?

Ava slowly shook her head sideways. No.

A tear was about to escape her eyelids when the door to the room she was in, creaked open and Damien walked in.

As he menacingly walked toward Ava with a disapproving frown etched out on his, she found it hard to focus in his direction.
