I walked into our office, Leon already grinning at me.

"You alright?" He asked, spinning on his chair.

"Yeah, you?" I sat down, turning my computer on.

"Eurgh, I don't like that voice. What's wrong?" Leon asked, playing with his mouse. My heart jumped that he had asked, he really could read my mind.

"I went to see my dad." I put my head back.

"Police commissioner Duggan, how the fuck is he?" Leon said seriously, making me laugh.

"I can't tell you. We spoke for about five minutes total."

"At his office?" Leon's eyes were on mine. I nodded. "What like an appointment?" He tried to fight down a chuckle.

"Yeah, that's how I always see him." I tried to say without embarrassment.

"Wait, wait." Leon rolled his chair next to my desk, his stupid smile plastered on. He put his elbows on his thighs, looking up at me. "You have to book an appointment. To see your dad." He said it slowly, he didn't have to tell me it was ridiculous, I already knew.
