EIGHTY SEVEN

Mary counted one step after another as she walked slowly towards Emma till she went to sit close to her on the couch. She was snacking on roasted groundnuts which she invited Mary to join her in, although Mary wanted to ask where she got it from, but then she brushed the thoughts aside and instead joined her in chewing the groundnut.

Although she was sitting there, Mary could not bring herself to concentrate on the show. Once in a while Emma would tap her to call her attention to a funny scene, she would just laugh even though she had no reason to.

After the show had ended, Emma requested for chicken soup for lunch. Which Mary rushed to go make for her.

While Mary was in the kitch trying to make the chicken soup, she could not stop thinking about how Adonis is a killer, of not just anybody but his own parents. She started to make up different scenarios in her head on how he had killed his parents, did he shoot them? Did he use a knife? Which kind of monster would kill his own pa
