SIXTY ONE

“Hey” Mary said softly as she sat on her bed that was facing Tolu’s bed. Tolu who had been lying on the bed and staring into space looked startled at the sight of her best friends. Mary was seating on her bed and looking at her with kind eyes while Rebecca leaned on one of the bunks and folded her arms.

“Are you okay?” Mary asked slowly and Tolu slowly sat up on the bed. Tears streamed down her cheeks and Rebecca quickly rushed to her with Mary following.
