CHAPTER 33: LIE FOR ME

Lawrence's POV

Where are you, my love? I need you. My wolf needs you so badly. I want you by my side when I rule over all the lands. Why have you run from me?

I woke from the same nightmare I had every night since Matilda left me. I would see her in my dreams but she stood idol. I would ask her the same questions but she only stared at me and repeated “you hurt me, mate.”

In an attempt to wash away those vivid nightmares I spent my days with Adelina a lot more.

A few hours later...

“Have you slept at all?” Adelina asked meeting me in my quarters. “Not really,” I groggily said. “What if we visited Ellington this weekend? Their orchards has surely blossomed this year from what I am told. We could both use a change in scenery,” Adelina said straddling my waist. “I could use the vacation. We ride in two days time,” I replied claiming her lips with mine.

We never mated with each other. She was holding out in hopes to receive her father’s blessing.
