Aiken asked. "He showed me a different side of him. Lawrence has a good heart but I do not think he's ready to commit to me," I complained. "I've known him since birth. Lawrence has always been about Lawrence. You are a fool sister if you think that you will change him," he said shaking his head. "You are just jealous that I will have a place at court and you won't," I boasted. "If you are referring to Lawrence replacing me as Gamma, I am fine with it. Father respects my decision," he replied shocking me.

Was Aiken really okay with not being at court? Could I have been wrong in my assumptions?
