Lilith's POV

Confusion flooded my face. "Your mate? What does that even mean!?"

Connor relaxed against the door and scratched the back of his head. He closed his eyes and when he opened them again; they were turning black. They weren't there all the way, but there was a dark glaze forming over them.

"A mate means a soulmate." He admitted, sounding nervous.

"How could you know that? I'm not... the same as you." I sputtered.

For the next 30 minutes, he explained the mating process and how it worked with humans. His explanation relieved the pressure I was feeling from being guilty. Guilty, for feeling like a slut whenever I was around him. How would I resist him if it was much stronger as a werewolf myself? Did I want to resist him?
