Chapter 28

Ken's POV

Two warriors on patrol in the forest last night discovered a suspicious foreign object under a tree. They didn't dare to touch it and immediately summoned the chief warrior to investigate it. They didn't tell me because they didn't want to disturb my sleep.

After accompanying Nora to exercise, Levi and I went there. The warriors waited all night, not moving the object.

I crouched down, and I used a tree branch to touch the metal ball. My brows furrowed. Is it possible for the suspects to have something like this?

"It's tiny. Like a tennis ball." Levi commented. He was also confused, like me.

I stood up and took the thing. I glared at him and wondered what the metal ball was for. Then I turned around and threw the object into an empty lot and no trees.

My eyes widen, and my heart stops beating for two seconds. My body froze. I couldn't believe what I was seeing and hearing.

The metal ball blew up! That tiny object emitted a lot of smoke and blew a hole in the ground.
