Chapter 17: Wolf's Bait
Axton’s P.O.V
“Axton…”
I opened my eyes to darkness. There was no light, no vision, as if I had gone blind, but I didn’t feel afraid. It was a welcoming darkness.
“Axton.”
There it was! That voice again. It was a voice I was very much familiar with. But how?
“Lily?” I whispered, looking around frantically for a glimpse of her.
Suddenly, a burst of light appeared in the darkness…and there she was. Lily Arliss. My beautiful, kind and patient Lily.
Her long brunette hair blew back in the wind, the strands appearing to almost float around her head. Her blue eyes looked directly at me and her blush pink lips were tilted up in a smile.
“Axton.” She smiled, stretching her hand.
“Lily!” I reached out for her, stretching my hands out as far as they would go.
