Chapter 24.

Marissa POV.

Heading back home, I can’t help feeling sick with worry. I just know something has happened or is about to happen. Dr Brenden’s disappearance has truly scared me. I hope Greyson can find him, or at least an address for him. All I can do is wait patiently for his call, but I do not know how long that will take.

I suppose I should bite the proverbial bullet, so to speak, and ask Damien what happened and where he went. After all, it was he who banished him. He is such a dickhead and right now I don’t want to ask him for anything, especially after what Jessica said earlier.

I pull up to the driveway of my house and I’m thankful that the CCTV has been installed, and the front door has been replaced. The locksmith is still here as I approach him and his team.

“Hi, thank you so much for doing this.” I say as I move closer to him. He stops and smiles at me as he finishes screwing the last screw in place.
