Marissa POV.

“Robert, thank you.” As much as I want to hate Robert, I can’t. He did just save me from being molested by that man.

“Anyone would have done the same, Rissa. But I’m glad it was me who did.”

It feels nice to have a friend. If anything, I should have told someone where I was going. I dread to think if Robert didn’t turn up when he did, I could have been raped, because no-one else was willing to step in to save me.

“But no-one did. It was you who stepped in and I appreciate it. My baby could have been hurt if you hadn’t.” I look down as I wipe a stray tear from my eyes. I need to start putting my health and that of my pup first and so far, I’m doing a piss-poor job.
