Chapter 22 : Date With a Billionaire

"Would you like to stay here tonight?" I asked nervously.

His sharp blue eyes gazed into mine as he considered my invitation. I could see the desire mirrored within them, and it matched my own longing for his continued presence. I didn't want him to leave me alone tonight.

"Of course," he replied, his deep voice resonating with sincerity. "I'd love that."

A wave of joy washed over me at his acceptance. I got up from the couch and picked up my pajamas from the floor and got dressed, feeling the weight of his gaze on me. Meanwhile, David disappeared into the bathroom to wash up—his tall, distinguished frame somehow fitting perfectly into my cozy apartment.

I retrieved a bottle of wine from the fridge and turned on the TV, hoping to set a more intimate and comfortable mood for our evening together. As soon as he returned from the bathroom, I poured the wine into our glasses, and we clinked them together. I glanced at him and found a smile dancing on his lips.
