Chapter 30

"Watch where you are going next time?"

Caleb mumbled and picked up the pieces of his state phone. He was on a call when Maria collided with him and in the process of stopping her from falling, his phone fell instead.

Maria scrambled up from the floor and charged at him.

"Why did you push me, huh?"

She was pointing at him with a mean expression. Caleb rolled his eyes and removed her finger from his face then strengthened his shoulders.

"I did not push you, you fell"

Was just the straight reply he gave her. Maria wasn't comfortable with his indifferent behavior towards the situation. She was somehow mad that he did not show any concern and without hesitation, he threw her on the floor. Has he become so mean that cares about no one again?

What if she had a broken back because of the fall?

"How can you say that, are you trying to make me look like a liar"
