Chapter 29 - Aftermath
I woke the next morning to feeling far too hot for comfort. I try to move away from the source of the heat only to find myself pinned under arms and legs which were wrapped around me from all angles.
Opening my eyes and looking at Lucas’ sleeping form behind me, I couldn’t help but smile. He looked completely at ease, peaceful even. A complete contrast to the angry monster that I witnessed yesterday afternoon.
I manage to successful un-wind his arm from my torso to sit up, but he refused to move his leg. So as carefully as I could not to wake him, I pull my legs up to my chest and wiggle out of the bed. Jumping down onto the cold flagstone floor, which were too cold I hop to the bathroom to relieve my bladder. All the while making a metal note that is I were going to stay here for any length of time, that I must get Lucas to purchase a rug for the bedroom.

When we landed in a cold dark corridor, I took a moment to gather myself. I was not used to travelling through thin air. My stomach sloshed dangerously inside me as I stood on shaky legs trying to compose myself. Lucifer was everything that Lilith has said he would be. He was perfectly sculpted, from his fine chiselled facial features, to his broad shoulders and back, right down to his foot size. I was surprised at just how civilised the whole dinner party was. When surrounded by the most evil beings in the universe, you go expecting for at least one person to leave dead or at the very least fatally maimed.But actually the meal went by without incident.
