Chapter 32 - The Long Gallery

When we landed in a cold dark corridor, I took a moment to gather myself. I was not used to travelling through thin air. My stomach sloshed dangerously inside me as I stood on shaky legs trying to compose myself. I felt like I had just had n extended session on the merry-go-round, and now my inner equilibrium had been disturbed.

“Are you OK?” Lucas asks, concern etched into him words. He held me steady as the room continued to spin around me. He places a gentle hand to my head, his thumb caressing my cheek bone.

Focusing on the blue of Lucas’ eyes and with steady breaths, the spinning slowly begins to slow. My stomach settles and I give Lucas a reassuring nod and squeeze of the hand.

“I should have warned you about apparating. It can take some time to get used to.” He apologies as he turned to face down the long gallery room that we now found ourselves in.

At the far end of the gallery was a large set of ornate double doors,
