Hearing the word “Angel” brought a glimmer of hope to my mind. I was so excited he was here, but I was also scared of what Ted would do. When I felt the cold metal of the gun on my cheek, I knew he was staking his claim. A million things were going through my head on how this would end. Would I make it out alive? Would Mike? What would happen to Ted after this, and would he come after me again? I was praying that we would make it out alive until I heard Ted talking about me. I turned my attention to the conversation and was not happy with what I heard. Mike was really trying to make a deal with Ted to work for him. What shocked me the most was when Mike said he didn’t want me, and Ted could have me. He was so calm, and his demeanor was relaxed. I guess he was really done with me and no longer loved me like Ted had said. I did my best to keep the tears from falling from my eyes as I looked at Mike with pained eyes.
