Alexa’s POV

My eyes fluttered open when I felt someone caress my cheek, I had just woken up but somehow I already knew who it was, and I to say I was relieved and glad would be an understatement. my eyes opened fully and my gaze were met the grey ones that I loved so much, and before I could stop myself I sat up and literally lunged into his arms. His hands wrapped around me and he placed a tender kiss on my head before saying;

“It’s time to go home”.

“You’re alright”. I said, my voice thick with relief and gratitude.

“Yes, I told you I would be fine”. He said against my head. “Didn’t I?”.

I nodded. I was so relieved that I literally had tears welling up in my eyes.

“Tell me you didn’t cry much when I was asleep”. He said as he backed away from me slightly and looked up at my face.

My heart constricted painfully as I recalled how he’d been earlier and my smile began to wilt.

“I couldn’t help it”. I said quietly. “You were just so unwell and I was so scared”.
