The big house was quiet except for the occasional sound of heavy booted feet hitting the floor gently, four burly stood watch outside Alexander’s house, they were to protect the Alpha’s mate and keep her safe from any danger.

“Have you got a light?” one of the huge guards asked his fellow guard.

The other rolled his eyes and said “I thought you quit Jefferson”

The first man cracked a smile and said “I can quit again you know”
