Maria’s POV

I stepped into the house feeling tired and drained out, I walked to the sofa and fell into while I kicked off my shoes and threw my purse out of sight, I waved off the maid who approached me, the house was silent, Ethan had left the house earlier, I had no idea where he had gone to, though we were doing okay, we were not really okay, we had spoken last night but we still had the impending doom looming over our heads and we needed to find a way to stop it as soon as possible, everyone was angry, Sam had called me earlier and informed me that the council was furious, he had also informed me of the fight that happened between Alex and Ethan at the last council meeting.
