Alexander's POV

It had been three days since the incident between the Maria and I and during the past three days, we had made sure to stay away from one another, we were both trying to avoid making the same mistake we had made again.

The mate bond kept pulling me toward her her but I held on to my resolve, I could not go to her again and make things even worse than they were already.

Throughout the past days, I could feel her uncertainty and sadness, I could tell something weighed heavily on her mind and I had to stop myself on many occasions from calling her and asking what the problem was.

Even now as I read through work related emails, I could feel it, the overwhelming sadness and everything.
