Chapter 18

Brian's POV:

Early the following day, I woke up with a general feeling of numbness.

I tilted my head to the left; a small face was beside mine. I heard my heart thumping and, at the same time, Andrew's joyful howl.

He was overjoyed to be cuddled by his partner for a night and even begged me several times to let him out. But at times like that, what I do is ignore him.

I sat up, pushing down the leg resting on my waist. Did I make a mistake by letting her sleep in the tent with me? Hard to imagine; this girl always wakes up with a docile, stupid look. But she is an entirely different person, aggressive and unruly when she sleeps. All night long, she always took my place, pushing me to the edge of the tent, or she would hug me like a pillow. No matter how many times I make her away, the next second, she will still be close to me.

Is that just her real nature?
