I stood up and put my ear out to listen; it was tranquil above, no longer heard people whispering.

Although I still don't believe they really gave up, I don't have time to hesitate at this point.

As if reading my mind, Kelsey asked. "Sir Brian, are we going out?"

I nodded. "You will die here sooner or later. Will you take the risk for once?"

Kelsey hesitated for a moment, then nodded. "I don't want to die here either."

I tore off my coat a bit more and carefully tied it to Kelsey's arm, trying to put her hand in front of the thorny vines. "Try to see if it hurts?"

Kelsey did, then she shook her head, a faint light in her eyes. "Sir Brian, it really doesn't hurt."

"You climb first," I say.

"Don't you tie your hands? What if you get hurt?" Kelsey nervously looked at my hand.

I looked down at my calloused hand, expressionless. "Don't worry so much; get out of here."
