The spark that flashed past my eyes raised an aching pain as if the same fire was burning my flesh.

'How dare he use it to whip her up?' Andrew growled.

His rage was like medicine to wake me up. I ran as fast as I could to Kelsey; I snatched the guard's fiery iron whip and now strangled him with all my anger.

He didn't know what was happening and only had time to scream a few times before his throat burned; he struggled frantically, trying to scratch my hand with his fingernails to escape. But the more he did, my grip became tighter until his eyes were about to fall out.
