“ Once you set your mind to saving Wolf…I am sure you will know what to do. ” Stefan utters and then leaves the room without waiting for me to refuse or agree to this.
Why me? How can I save him? I can’t do it.
I gulp and sit down on the floor near the bed, hearing Wolf continue to call my name in a pained voice.
It’s hard, hearing him choking on his own pain but it’s satisfying nonetheless.

I jerk forward, the strange words pushing me deeper into the abyss of darkness.
Stefan, Cassius and Kane really did try to keep me safe. In the start, I feared Kane but he was not that bad either.
