Viktor reaches over my shoulder and pulls the curtains over the window, blocking the sunlight.
I am still in shock and denial. It was not supposed to happen. The wall was supposed to stand. I lost half my energy to raise that wall. It has always worked around me, but it didn’t work around the city.
“ You said you would raise a wall to keep Katrina out. ” Luther blames me and his eyes turn red, threateningly.
