Chapter 14- Monsters From Her Past

Samara’s POV

The nightmares soon follow me into the darkness. A time that I thought was long forgotten has returned to taunt me with its menacing presence. Before I can stop myself from falling, I find myself moving through the motions of things in my past that I would rather forget.

The darkness dissipates to reveal the locked room of my uncle’s basement. The sound of his maniacle laughter resonates around me, causing me to curl up in the corner in an attempt to hide from the evil man. But hiding never works. No matter what I do, he always finds me and punishes me more for hiding from him.

“There you are, little girl.” A whimper escapes me before I can keep it locked away inside, fueling his rage and excitement further. His hand reaches down and grabs hold of huge chunks of my hair, pulling strands out from the roots and earning another cry from my lips.
